As a Youth Worker in this vital role, you'll provide trauma-informed, therapeutic support to children and young people in residential care. You'll be part of a team that believes in the power of connection, healing, and hope—working to create safe, nurturing environments where young people can thrive.
What You'll Do
* Support daily care needs and implement individual care plans.
* Role model positive behaviours and build trusting relationships.
* Ensure safe transport and maintain clear, professional documentation.
* Work sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
* Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality, client-focused care.
What You'll Bring
* Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or equivalent.
* Experience working with children and young people in care.
* Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, empathetic approach.
* Current driver's licence (P2 minimum).
* Understanding of child protection and domestic violence frameworks (desirable).
* Possess or the ability to obtain a National Police Check, Blue Card (Working with Children) and a Licensed Care Services (LCS).
