As a Casual Grounds and Maintenance Officer you will contribute to the upkeep of grounds, gardens, turf and other common areas of our exceptional Bulleen Sports Complex.
This is a casual position commencing in March 2026. This role is primarily based at Carey's Bulleen Sports Complex, but there may be a requirement to move between campuses from time to time.
The Role:
* Ensure effective maintenance and upkeep of the turf, including lawn mowing, edging, whipper-snippering, raking and debris removal
* Setup facilities and the grounds in preparation for sporting activities and events
* Pack down, clean up and re-set up after sporting activities and events
* Support wicket preparation and maintenance
* Ad-hoc maintenance duties as required by the Ground Supervisor
The Person:
* Previous experience in general grounds and/or maintenance is highly desirable but not mandatory
* A commitment to working in and maintaining a safe environment
* Have the ability (or willingness to learn) to operate small power tools
* Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills
A valid Employee Working with Children Check is a requirement of employment for this position.
