About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Diabetes Educator to join our team at Grampians Health's Ballarat Campus. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide safe, effective, and person-centered clinical care to individuals affected by diabetes.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialist diabetes services, including educational programs and therapeutic direct and indirect clinical care.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to service users.
* Maintain advanced clinical skills and knowledge within the field of clinical speciality, demonstrating strong leadership and acting as a role model.
* Act as a clinical advisory resource and develop activities and projects to participate in and contribute to research.
* Support departmental and organisational initiatives requiring specialist intervention, including education and training of healthcare professionals across multiple teams.
Requirements
* Holds current Registered Nurse Division 1 registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Postgraduate qualification in Diabetes Education.
* Membership with relevant speciality association and/or nursing professional body and current ADEA Credentialing.
* Demonstrated ability to consult and collaborate with others.
* Proven leadership within the healthcare workforce.
