Wide Bay Mental Health and Specialised Services is seeking a Senior Psychologist to join the Community Care Unit (CCU) based at Bundaberg Hospital. Your Opportunity
* Provide high level of knowledge, skill and clinical competence in the area of managing people with complex and serious mental health issues and their families within a recovery-oriented framework, whilst ensuring the active participation of consumers, carers and families in all aspects of the mental health care they receive.
* Deliver specialised psychological clinical services, including assessment, intervention and rehabilitation programs as the sole psychology position within the Community Care Unit, Mental Bay Mental Health & Specialised Services, Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service.
* Provide leadership, high level of consultation, advice and support to clinicians from various disciplines working with people with complex and serious mental health issues.
What we're looking for
* Clinical Expertise – Demonstrated high level of knowledge, expertise and skill in evidence based mental health clinical interventions and contemporary practice for people with concurrent mental health problems.
* Communication – Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and to provide clinical advice at all levels within the service regarding treatment for people with concurrent mental health problems. Demonstrated ability to provide strategic advice to professional and operational supervisors regarding psychological service delivery and improvement opportunities.
* Clinical Ability – Demonstrated ability to provide advanced clinical input to Mental Health Services to enable the capacity of those services to manage complex needs. Ability to role model best clinical practice to all staff and contribute to education programs within the service as required.
* Leadership – Demonstrated ability to lead change, initiate, plan and evaluate clinical and quality improvement initiatives and provide clinical supervision of personnel.
Preferred Qualifications
* Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution as a Psychologist and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practising certificate is essential.
* Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
* Eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016 is highly desirable.

Our offer: You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $157,360 p.a., comprising salary between $128,169 - $137,918 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Temporary Full Time, 76 hours p.f., from date of appointment for up to 12 months with the possibility of extension) (Applications will remain current for 12 months).
