Business Development Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Business Development professional to drive new sales opportunities for our innovative Laboratory Information Management Systems, Electronic Laboratory Notebooks, and professional services in Oceania.
The ideal candidate will have experience in sales, preferably within the laboratory industry, and possess a solid understanding of CRM tools such as Salesforce. You will be responsible for nurturing a robust business pipeline, engaging new and existing customers, and driving the sales cycle from initiation to post-delivery support.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Identify and progress new business opportunities in the laboratory industry
2. Collaborate with the Technical Sales Team to provide product demonstrations to prospective and existing customers
3. Respond to customer requests for proposals and tenders
4. Develop and maintain sound relationships with customers
5. Contribute to maintaining a full sales funnel (i.e., the Salesforce Pipeline)
6. Work closely with our Project Services Team
Requirements:
1. Tertiary qualification in science and/or information technology
2. Knowledge of laboratory or quality control processes
3. Experience in sales, preferably within the laboratory industry
4. Excellent communication and presentation skills
