About This Role

I-MED is pleased to be offering an exciting new Full-Time Permanent opportunity for an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be based in the North Tasmania Region. This role is Monday to Friday, working 7.6-hour shifts between 8am to 5pm, no on call.

Reporting to the Regional Nuclear Coordinator you will be responsible for performing all aspects of Nuclear Medicine including radiopharmaceutical preparation and Quality Control procedures to the highest standard.

As a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist you will manage patients and operate specialised imaging equipment in accordance with professional standards. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and energetic person who is willing to learn in a busy hospital setting.

Key accountabilities include

- Performing all aspects of Nuclear Medicine including radio-pharmaceutical preparation and Quality Control procedures to the highest standard
- Consistently delivering high levels of patient care and service
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with patients, referrers, staff and managers
- Promoting and maintaining the highest quality and safety standards

Key selection criteria

- Demonstrated ability to perform high quality Nuclear Medicine examinations independently
- CT skill set or willingness to learn
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of health professionals and corporate staff
- Tertiary qualification in Nuclear Medicine
- Applicants must be AHPRA Registered
- Diagnostic CT accreditation would be an advantage but not required.
