Senior Design Manager – Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the design process for a high‐end, multi‐storey residential project
* Develop and maintain design briefs and client deliverables, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards, statutory requirements, and the Building Code of Australia
* Collaborate with contractors, consultants and stakeholders to deliver innovative, sustainable, and cost‐effective design solutions that meet project objectives
* Oversee safety in design, sustainability targets (e.g., Green Star/NABERS), and ensure buildability and quality expectations are achievable
* Manage design budgets, timelines, and scope changes while supporting tenders, ECI, and value engineering initiatives
* Coordinate design documentation, approvals, and reporting, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project milestones
Qualifications & Experience
* 5+ years in multi‐storey, high‐end residential project experience (preferably with on‐site experience)
* Strong client focus, with a track record of delivering on promises and exceeding expectations
* Exceptional leadership skills, a clear communicator who sets high standards and inspires teams through trust and empowerment
* Strategic thinker who anticipates challenges, makes confident decisions, and thrives in uncertain situations
* Resilient, positive, and accountable, with a passion for safety and wellbeing
* Tertiary qualifications in Architecture or a related discipline, and proven experience managing design development and delivery on complex projects
