About the role
Transform Orthodontic Care is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to oversee the smooth, efficient day-to-day operations of our Specialist Orthodontic Practices in South Australia. This is a full-time leadership role, pivotal to ensuring our patients receive consistent, exceptional care and service across our three metropolitan clinic sites: Modbury, St Peters and West Lakes.
Working closely with the Management Team, you'll provide strong leadership and hands-on support to our Clinical and Administration Team Leads, helping the practice run smoothly, calmly and efficiently and always with outstanding patient care at the centre.
What you'll be doing
* Lead daily operations across the practices to optimise productivity, patient care and team performance, including scheduling oversight, patient coordination and staff capability-building.
* Provide management direction and hands-on support to the Clinical and Administration Team Leads to achieve operational alignment and consistent service standards.
* Manage HR functions with support from the General Manager, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management and fostering a positive, supportive culture.
* Drive continuous improvement and growth by researching innovations and evaluating workflows with the view to improving systems, and implementing change (with training before rollout).
* Implement and monitor practice policies and procedures to maintain compliance and consistently high standards.
* Oversee rostering and workforce planning, approve timesheets, and manage leave and casual staffing needs.
* Ensure patient records are accurate, complete and securely managed in line with privacy obligations.
* Coordinate compliance, safety and facility maintenance across sites.
* Promote a high standard of patient care and customer service, including effective management of patient feedback (compliments and complaints).
* Ensure the practice meets accreditation standards and legislative requirements, including policies, procedures and risk management across operations, privacy and WHS.
* Build strong working relationships with owners, staff, contractors and suppliers, and develop and strengthen relationships with referral sources.
* Partner with the Finance Manager on accounts processes, procurement, stock control and cost management.
* Work closely with the staff on projects, reporting/data insights, marketing support and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Ensure our clinics remain calm, inviting, organised and fully equipped.

* Proven experience as a Practice Manager (dental/healthcare experience highly regarded).
* Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence liaising with patients, clinicians and stakeholders.
* Sound understanding of practice operations, compliance and regulatory requirements.
* Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

* Strong problem-solving skills, systems thinking and a continuous improvement mindset.
* High level of IT literacy and confidence with data management and reporting.
