Successful applicants will have the opportunity to undertake a nationally recognised qualification: Certificate III in Carpentry. The apprentice will learn to:
- Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and door frames.
- Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, and other materials.
- Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding.
This is a full time role. All their site teams including Foreman are qualified carpenters so you will receive good training and guidance at all sites. The employers always try to keep them at the site for a good amount of time to see out tasks properly and receive constant training from a carpenter or Foreman. You will be required to work across various sites including heritage restoration and commercial sites. Currently they are working on 4 school sites that are extensions and refurbishments/landscaping etc.
To be considered for this role you must:
- Have a current driver's licence and a vehicle.
- Have First Aid certificate and construction white card preferred but not essential, you can obtain it later.
- Have a great attitude towards work, be driven and keen on learning various facets of carpentry.
- Be committed to completing the apprenticeship and becoming a fully qualified carpentry.
