Damday Pty Ltd trading as Australian Air-conditioning & Mechanical Services is a leader in the NT HVAC industry, successfully completing many large scale projects in Northern Territory and winner of numerous awards. A well respected Territory owned company that specialises in mechanical contracting, preventative maintenance and repairs to commercial / industrial refrigeration and air conditioning services.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced & dedicated HVAC Estimator/Project Engineer to join our projects team to assist with project estimation works as required and preparation of various quotations and submission of offers for construction projects.
The successful candidate will also be involved in the delivery of mechanical services projects as required.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
Liaise with Engineering Manager, Project Manager's & contract team in all aspects for HVAC projects
Prepare tender and response documentation, including response schedule, price break downs and bill of quantities
Responsible for tenders and contract bids, negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
Read, interpret and follow drawings
Ensure accurate preparation and implementation of all relevant tasks are carried out in accordance with both company and external contract document specifications, drawings, legislation and regulations.
Assist Project Manager to coordinate the projects on site as required
Ensure correct documentation, installation maintenance manuals and all certificates of compliance are provided at project completion
The successful candidate will ideally possess the following attributes:
Relevant trade qualification or Mechanical Engineering
Ability to read mechanical drawings
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Word processing and spreadsheet applications
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills
Intermediate Computer skills in Microsoft Excel and office-based databases
CAD and Revit experience is an advantage
