Are you ready to make a difference in the community?
Anglicare Tasmania is seeking a fixed-term, part-time (45.6 hours per fortnight) Project Officer – Communities for Children, based at our Launceston office.
This role is offered on a fixed-term basis through to 29 th January 2027.
About the Role:
To provide project management services to the Launceston Tamar Valley Communities for Children Initiative. Project Officers work collaboratively with sector stakeholders utilising Anglicare’s Project Management Framework and Collective Impact principles with the express purpose of building the capacity of the community to support vulnerable children at risk of abuse and neglect and their families.
Project Officers will facilitate cross sector agenda setting, data collection, continuous exchange of information, and integration of services, as well as research literature and contribute to the collation of evidence informed practice, and develop and deliver training.
To be successful you will have:
* An understanding of the processes people utilise to overcome adversity/distress arising from life challenges.
* An ability to recognise and understand people’s intrinsic resourcefulness.
* Provide support in a manner consistent with Anglicare’s values and practice principle.
* Demonstrate high level of communication and interpersonal skills with people who access our services, family/carers, colleagues, other service providers and stakeholders.
* Ability to accurately document and maintain records.
* Demonstrated experience with relevant information and communication technologies.
* Ability to work autonomously within organisational policy and procedure.
* A high level of professionalism and a willingness to develop and reflect on professional
practice
* Ability to work in alignment with Anglicare’s workplace principles
* Knowledge in a broad range of disabilities and mental health areas and keenness to learn.
* Well-developed networking skills.
What we offer you:
* An attractive salary of $91,567 - $95,974 (full-time equivalent) + Super + Salary sacrifice

The successful applicant will be required to:
* provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer) including NDIS Worker Screening Check;
* present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people type National Police Check (no older than 12 months);
* provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16;
* provide a satisfactory Anglicare-assessed medical:
* provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver’s Licence.
On commencement, the successful applicant will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.
This position is available for an immediate start and applications will be shortlisted upon receipt.
