What you'll be doing:
The role involves delivering preschool health and development checks, providing screening, assessment, recommendations, and interventions in Early Education settings. Training of Early Educators will be part of the role. The senior Speech Pathologist will also supervise staff and students, assist with operational and professional matters, and promote a positive workplace culture.
Selection Criteria:
* Tertiary degree in speech pathology (or equivalent) with eligibility for Speech Pathology Australia membership.
* Excellent negotiation, decision-making, and advocacy skills.
* Strong communication, time management, and computer skills.
* Experience in managing complex paediatric clinical practice, including community case management.
* Experience supervising staff and/or students.
* Experience delivering and evaluating staff education sessions.
* Experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating local service delivery with a focus on quality improvement.
* Current unrestricted driver's license and willingness to travel, including long distances and overnight stays.
The position is classified as level 3; however, applications from level 1/2 Allied Health Professionals will be considered if no level 3 applicants are suitable. Candidates from lower levels should demonstrate competence and the ability to work towards level 3.
