We are partnering with a leading Australian FMCG manufacturer to appoint an Operations Finance Business Partner at one of their largest and most complex production sites. This is a high-impact leadership role supporting a flagship manufacturing operation. You’ll act as a true business partner to operations, driving financial performance, cost control, and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead site finance activities and manage the Manufacturing Accountant
* Partner closely with the Site GM and operations leadership team
* Drive a strong commercial mindset and continuous improvement culture
* Own month-end processes, variance analysis, and reporting insights
* Deliver budgets, forecasts, and strategic planning cycles
* Provide actionable insights to both site and corporate stakeholders
* Manage conversion costs, standard costing, and cost recovery
* Oversee product costing, BOMs, and cost roll-ups
* Support NPD with cost and capacity analysis
* Lead value creation initiatives from ideation through to execution
* Support CAPEX planning and investment decision-making
* Provide financial modelling and analysis to improve site performance
* Ensure integrity of financial data, inventory, and balance sheet reconciliations
About You
* CA/CPA qualified with a degree in Finance or Accounting
* 5+ years experience in a similar Ops FBP role in an FMCG, manufacturing environment
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
* Hands‑on, proactive, and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment
* Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI and QAD desirable
* A natural leader who can coach, challenge, and drive outcomes
