The hospital-wide approach supports patient needs, enabling GP patients to be looked after overnight and providing a high standard of local patient and client care.
Position
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Veterinary Nurse to join our Greencross Kedron team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animal care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. As a Veterinary Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality veterinary care and exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with consultations, surgeries, and medical procedures
- Provide compassionate care and monitoring for hospitalized pets
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Perform diagnostic tests, including blood work and radiography
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage client communications
- Educate pet owners on preventive care and post-treatment instructions
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment for pets and staff
- Participate in inventory management and ordering of supplies
Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient and client care
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays
