Cost Controller Position Overview
This role involves providing cost expertise through timely monitoring, controlling, analysing, and reporting of project cost & progress information with a strong focus on trending, forecasting and management of change.
The successful candidate will assist in establishing and monitoring project baseline budgets, preparing project forecasting, and participating in KPI reporting and project daily, weekly, and monthly internal and external reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the cost team in establishing and monitoring project baseline budgets and overall budget reporting
* Prepare project forecasting, collect and report actual project work hours, quantities designed and installed, and assist in preparation of accruals
* Support management of change control and performance trending across the project functions to support early notification to project management
* Participate in KPI reporting and project daily, weekly, and monthly internal and external reporting, and change impacts is maintained through the risk and MOC registers
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Applicants should have a degree qualification in finance or accounting, exposure to project cost controls, knowledge of cost management methodologies and cost management tools, and familiarity within building, construction or infrastructure industries. Candidates with a recent graduate or junior cost controller background are encouraged to apply.
