A leading financial services firm is seeking a Client Administrator to join its Canberra-based team. This is a client-facing, hands-on role offering variety, responsibility, and a clear pathway into an Office Manager position.
Ideal for someone with financial services administration experience who enjoys working closely with advisers, supporting clients, and being involved in day-to-day operations within a professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a key point of contact between clients, advisers, and internal teams
Manage client enquiries via phone and email in a professional and timely manner
Open, maintain, and update client accounts across various asset classes and platforms, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met
Work daily with systems including IRESS, Agility, and Praemium
Monitor trade settlements, cash movements, and outstanding balances
Process client transactions, including cash transfers and term deposits
Coordinate client documentation such as changes to personal details, banking information, and security holdings
Assist advisers with client reports, research material, portfolio reviews, and presentations
Maintain accurate client records, databases, and spreadsheets
Liaise with IT to ensure office systems and technology operate smoothly
Prepare documentation relating to estates, trustee changes, and stock transfers
Support corporate actions, including placements and new issues
Provide general office coordination and ad hoc administrative support as required
About You
Previous administration experience within financial services (highly regarded)
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team environment
Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Professional presentation and manner
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
