Responsibilities
* Work collaboratively to deliver the department's Net Zero (PEQ) Property Capital Works Program.
* Contribute to the broader ongoing PEQ Capital Works Program development process, including funding bids, cost forecasting, delivery progress tracking and reporting.
* Deliver multiple capital works projects to time, budget and in alignment with stakeholder requirements, including undertaking risk assessments and mitigations where required.
* Contribute to the ongoing management of property, BMS and sustainability data as it relates to the PEQ, in alignment to the department's Emissions Reductions Plan.
* Engage and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, to achieve required outcomes, support positive relationships and ensure effective communication.
* Actively participate in relevant governance meetings that support the delivery of PEQ capital works projects.
* Manage transition and handover of capital works projects to business-as-usual management activities.
* Maintain process, governance, records management and contribute to continual improvement.
* Provide issue resolution and communication for internal and external stakeholders and escalate issues that may have a wider departmental impact on staff or business continuity.
* Undertake procurements of goods and services, in alignment with Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
* Provide leadership to Property staff, including coaching, capability development and problem solving.
Qualifications and ideal candidate
Our ideal candidate will have:
* Experience in Construction Project and Program Management.
* Experience with the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013, and associated rules.
* Experience with the Commonwealth Property Management Framework.
* Knowledge of APS Net Zero in Government Operations Strategy 2030.
* Exposure to previous Net Zero and/or renewable or electrification projects.
* Experience with Legislation and industry standards relating to property, particularly the National Construction Code and relevant Australian Standards.
* Experience in client-side project management, working collaboratively through Property Service Provider arrangements.
The successful candidate:
* Must hold and maintain a valid Australian motor vehicle drivers' licence.
