The role
As a Optical Fibre Technician you will be involved in:
Preparation and splicing of optic fibre cables internal and external enclosures and frames.
Reading and understanding network plans and drawings.
Multi core count (Stranded and Ribbon) Cable preparation.
Testing and Commissioning of links as per customer requirements.
Knowledge of NBN DFN and LFN infrastructure.
Knowledge of Cable Hauling Practices and Procedures.
Knowledge of multiple Carrier Optical Fibre Networks.
Requirements / Skills
Experience in the telecommunications industry working in live carrier networks
Construction Industry Induction (White Card)
Current drivers license
First Aid (CPR)
Confined Space ticket
Single & Ribbon experience would be viewed favourably
NBN enabled
