Mental Health Clinician (RPN3, SW/OT2) - Adult Community Mental Health
Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, improvement, research and education. We provide services across the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne including ambulatory, inpatient and home and community-based services. Subject to final approval, all employees from the merged health services will transfer to Bayside Health.
About The Role
The newly integrated Adult and Older Adult Department combines AMAH Adult Community Mental Health and Caulfield Aged and Liaison Psychiatry Services. Our mission is to provide comprehensive, person-centred support to adults and older adults through a range of therapeutic, addiction, trauma-informed, and family violence services. We're expanding offerings to ensure clients benefit from specialist expertise alongside access to innovative, broad-spectrum care options, including pathways for substance use disorders, rehabilitation and recovery, physical and mental health integration, and trauma-focused services. Our department focuses on integrated treatment, education, peer support, care planning, and navigation services to support individuals through recovery.
Responsibilities
* Provide community-based psychiatric assessment including risk assessment as part of a range of psychiatric interventions.
* Contribute to care planning, care coordination and navigation in a multidisciplinary team.
* Deliver person-centred mental health services for adults and older adults.
Qualifications
* A current Registration with AHPRA/AASW, preferably with Psychiatric endorsements or equivalent. For Nursing applicants, postgraduate qualifications in psychiatric nursing are strongly preferred.
* Experience in a range of psychiatric interventions including community-based psychiatric assessment and risk assessment.
* A current driver's licence is required.
* Australian working rights, satisfactory completion of Working with Children Check and current influenza vaccination.
