Senior Plumbing Supervisor / Operations Lead - Mackay, QLD
Are you a seasoned plumber and or supervisor who’s confident quoting jobs, leading teams, and keeping operations running like clockwork? Our client is expanding, and we’re looking for an experienced Senior Supervisor or Leading Hand to take the reins of our Mackay-based crew.
This is your chance to step into a leadership role with real impact, without needing to be a formal “Operations Manager.” You’ll be the go-to person for job pricing, team guidance, and smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Quote and price plumbing jobs to ensure appropriate margins
* Lead and support a team of plumbers and apprentices
* Oversee job schedules, materials, and equipment
* Work with office staff to streamline workflows and problem-solve
* Promote a strong safety culture across the team
* Mentor junior staff and support their development
* Keep clients happy and projects on time and budget
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience in plumbing or a similar trade-based business
* Background as a supervisor, a leading hand, or a senior team member
* Confident in quoting/pricing and understanding job profitability
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
* Able to juggle jobs, people, and deadlines with a level head
* Someone hands-on, proactive, and driven to get the job done right
