Financial Accounting Specialist Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accounting Specialist to join our team. This is a permanent position for a proactive professional who thrives on problem-solving and process improvement.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in the end-to-end financial accounting for a significant asset portfolio, with a strong focus on problem-solving and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the month-end closing process, including journal preparation and key reconciliation management.
* Contribute to consolidation and reporting activities at the group level.
* Take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and integrity of all accounts.
* Perform ad-hoc accounting tasks as required to support finance operations.
* Contribute to the development and improvement of financial systems and processes.
* Ensure accurate fixed asset registration and accounting.
* Comply with relevant accounting standards, policies, and statutory requirements.
* Provide support during internal and external audits.
* Collaborate with finance teams as needed.
Requirements & Skills:
* Certified Accountant qualification is essential.
* A background in a similar industry, such as energy or utilities, is advantageous.
* Demonstrated hands-on experience in financial accounting.
* Exceptional problem-solving skills and appetite for change.
* Strong technical knowledge of financial accounting standards and best practices.
* Excellent analytical and communication skills.
