We are seeking a patient and compassionate support worker to join our team and provide care as well as emotional and practical assistance to our clients.
In this role, you'll make a significant difference in the quality of life for the people and families that you work with.
As Disability Support Worker with Able Koala, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day care of our physical disabilities and/or mental illness participants.
Our team have to enable our participants to reach their full potential by helping them achieve their individual goals.For this role our client needs assistance with participation in Community, Social and Civic Activities also development of daily living and life skills.
Shifts are located at Everton Park QLD ****.
Estimated hours, initially: Approximately 4–6 hours, primarily on weekends
Ideal candidates should be adept at managing and implementing:
Behavioural challenges
Accurate data recording and form completion
Skills and Requirements:
Female support worker aged between 30 and 40 years
Experience working with individuals with ASD and other sensory disabilities.
Excellent work ethic, strong oral communication skills.
Have an empathetic and person-centered approach when supporting our Participants in their own home and/or out in the community.
Treat them how you would treat your own family member.
Having a background in Support Work / Nursing and/or experience supporting a variety of NDIS participants with mental illness, intellectual and physical disabilities.
Essential Criteria:
Must be vaccinated for COVID-19.
Must own an insured vehicle and be willing to utilize said vehicle in supporting participants.
Must have experience in Disability, Mental Health, or Aged Care.
