The Manager Workplace Health, Safety & Wellbeing (WHS&W) will lead and drive the development and implementation of the bank's workplace health and safety framework and provide support and advice to the business in all aspects of Health, Safety and Wellbeing including: risk management, incident response as well as proactive engagement projects and well-being initiatives designed to minimise any risk to the health and safety of the bank's employees, contractors, visitors and customers.

What you will be doing Develop and implement a WHS & Wellbeing Framework and annual plan to guide organisational priorities and ensure regulatory compliance Create a Psychological Safety Framework including policies and programs to address psychosocial risks Provide expert WHS advice using proactive and reactive strategies, including data analysis, industry research and system assessments Maintain best practice WHS systems, documentation and procedures, including risk assessments and work instructions Lead staff consultation processes and coordinate the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Consultative Committee Organise WHS training for executives and managers to support compliance and awareness Oversee WHS inspections, audits and registers, ensuring accurate reporting and completion of actions Prepare WHS reports for the CPO, Executive and Board, including monthly and committee updates Manage and promote wellbeing initiatives, including a calendar of health-focused events Act as Return-to-Work Coordinator until training is completed by the Coordinator HSW Perform additional duties as directed by Management.
Manage workers compensation claims and related investigations.
What you will bring Qualifications or extensive experience in leading WHS functions and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation Strong understanding of WHS regulations, codes of practice and safety management systems Experience in safety auditing and improving safety documentation and processes Highly developed analytical, problem-solving and report-writing skills Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and influencing capabilitiesAbility to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and self-manage workload Excellent written and verbal communication skills Commitment to promoting a positive safety culture and reducing risk Current Driver's Licence and ability to travel to bank sites Proven ability to provide accurate and timely WHS advice and support Experience working with internal teams and external providers including regulators, auditors, insurers and medical professionals Commitment to Bank Australia's purpose, values, and B Corp ethos.
