Senior Mental Health Professional
This is a challenging and rewarding role that offers ongoing employment with a full-time position and 35 hour working week, with part-time arrangements possible.
The Senior Mental Health Professional will be based in one of three locations: Cowra, Batemans Bay, or Albury. Regular travel to the designated office location is expected.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide critical incident support, psychological assessment, and intervention services to RFS staff and volunteers.
* Develop and deliver holistic and proactive health and wellbeing programs.
* Share supervisory responsibility for Psychologists in their Area with the Manager Mental Health Services.
The Senior Mental Health Professional will work closely with the Manager Mental Health Services and other mental health professionals to provide expert psychological services to RFS members. They will also advise leaders on mental health risk management and contribute to the design and improvement of Service-wide psychological programs.
Key Qualifications:
* High-level skills and experience in trauma-informed psychological assessment and interventions.
* Ability to work as an effective team member within a multi-disciplinary team.
* Authorisation to clinically supervise provisional and/or early career psychologists (or eligible for authorisation).
* Genuine appreciation and understanding of a volunteer-based emergency service.
