F & J Bitumen Services is seeking experienced and safety-driven Traffic Controllers to join our team for ongoing sealed pavement maintenance works across the Katherine Region under NT Government contracts.
Our projects operate on live rural highways, including 130km/h environments, in remote Northern Territory conditions. This role requires confidence, strong situational awareness, and a genuine commitment to road safety.
The Role
* Implementing and managing approved Traffic Control Plans (TMP/TGS)
* Safely controlling live traffic on high-speed rural and regional roads
* Monitoring site conditions and adjusting controls as required
* Maintaining clear and professional radio communication
* Working collaboratively with bitumen sealing and asphalt crews
* Completing required daily documentation and compliance records
* This role involves working outdoors in hot conditions and may include early starts and regional travel depending on project requirements.
Applicants must have
* Current NT Traffic Controller - TC 1 & 2 tickets
* Current NT Implement Traffic Control Plans - TMI 1 & 2 tickets
* Construction Induction Card (White Card)
* Valid Driver's Licence
* Ability to work safely on 130km/h highways
* Physical capacity to work in high-heat and demanding environments
* Strong awareness of traffic risk and safety compliance
* Applications without both current tickets will not be considered
Highly Regarded
* Previous experience on NT Government or DIPL road contracts
* First Aid Certificate
* Experience in remote or regional NT work environments
