About the Role
We're BDO, a global professional services firm, and we're hiring a Manager to join our Corporate M&A Tax team in Brisbane. In this role you will be a key member of a dedicated and collaborative team that works closely with private equity, venture capital, and corporate clients to support their critical interests and transactions in Australia, with opportunities to assist clients on global matters as part of the wider BDO International Private Equity & Corporate M&A team.
* Engage across a full spectrum of Private Equity/M&A tax advisory work, including tax due diligence, domestic and international transaction structuring, transaction documentation reviews, modelling, private binding ruling preparation and fund structuring.
* Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on transactions, directly liaising with clients, commercial lawyers, investment bankers, investigators and other service providers.
* Work closely with Partners and Directors across various BDO tax and Corporate Finance, Commercial Due Diligence and other Deal Advisory services teams that are also engaged on transactions.
* Build enduring relationships with clients to develop your professional practice.
About You
* Demonstrated Australian tax experience within an M&A/Deals Advisory tax practice at a Big4 accounting firm, mid-tier accounting firm or as a Corporate Tax advisor at a Law firm.
* Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting or Law plus attendant professional qualifications as a CA, CTA or Masters.
* Commercial understanding of M&A transactions.
* Proven track record of advising on tax due diligence, tax structuring and fund structuring with an interest in further developing these skills.
* Strong project‐management, interpersonal and communication skills.
