With offices across NSW and QLD, our people are at the heart of everything we do. Guided by our values: Win, Win, Win; Collective Strength; Solve the Problem; Be the Inspiration; and Keep It Fun. We foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and positive impact.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team immediately. This role is central to supporting our people, ensuring compliance and strengthening our organisational culture as we continue to expand.
This is not a standard HR role—you will be trusted to lead across the full HR spectrum while applying advanced expertise in:
* Industrial Relations (IR): Handling complex workplace matters, providing confident advice to managers, and ensuring compliance with Fair Work and other legislative requirements.
* Return-to-Work & Injury Management: Leading early intervention, rehabilitation, and return-to-work programs to support staff wellbeing and meet statutory obligations.
* Support & Wellbeing: Promoting a safe and supportive workplace culture, drawing on your networks to connect staff with the right expertise when specialised support is needed.
* Payroll Compliance & Remuneration: Supporting leaders to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance. Working with the finance team to develop remuneration benchmarks and reporting to guide decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic HR advice and support to leadership and staff across multiple offices.
* Lead all aspects of IR, including enterprise agreements, disputes, and performance management.
* Manage workers' compensation, injury management, and return-to-work processes.
* Partner with HSEQ and Operations to manage psychosocial risks and support employee wellbeing.
* Support leaders in maintaining compliance with payroll and employment legislation.
* Develop remuneration frameworks, benchmarks and reporting processes in collaboration with Finance.
* Ensure compliance with workplace legislation, awards and internal policies.
* Deliver HR projects, policies and frameworks that strengthen ENV's values and culture.
* Build relationships with external providers, legal advisors and networks to ensure access to specialist expertise.
About You
We are looking for someone who brings more than just HR experience—you'll bring the confidence, professionalism and agility to work with a growing business and diverse workforce.
Essential:
* Significant HR generalist experience with a strong IR background.
* Demonstrated expertise in return-to-work coordination and workers' compensation management.
* Solid knowledge of payroll compliance, with the ability to support leaders and liaise effectively with Finance.
* Strong understanding of Fair Work legislation, WHS and HR best practice.
* Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
* A solutions focused mindset, aligned with ENV's culture and values.
Why Join ENV?
At ENV, you'll be part of a high-performing and supportive team that values innovation and collaboration. You'll have the autonomy to make a real impact while being backed by the strength of a trusted environmental consultancy.
* Flexible work arrangements.
* A values-driven culture that is professional, supportive and fun.
