Sea-Brook Supports Pty Ltd is a mental health–focused NDIS provider delivering person-centred, community-based support to individuals living with mental health challenges. We support psychosocial recovery, independence, wellbeing, and community inclusion.
We are currently seeking a Casual Support Worker to join our team in Sale, Victoria.
Job Overview
As a Support Worker, you will provide practical and emotional support to NDIS participants with mental health needs. You will assist participants to build daily living skills, access the community, and work towards personal goals in a recovery-oriented, respectful manner.
This role involves travel and transport of participants using your own vehicle.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Support participants with appointments, daily tasks, budgeting, shopping, and bill paying
* Provide community access support, including social activities, library visits, classes, group activities, and outings
* Assist with self-care and wellbeing activities, including mindfulness, walking, and creative pursuits
* Support participants to build healthy routines, including sleep hygiene
* Assist with employment support, including resume writing, job applications, interview preparation, and attending interviews
* Provide housing support, including attending inspections and assisting with rental applications
* Assist with meal planning and cooking, nutrition education, and household routine planning
(Household cleaning is excluded)
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
* Current First Aid and CPR
* Working With Children Check
* Police Check
* Current Australian driver's licence
* Own reliable vehicle
* Full comprehensive vehicle insurance
* Ability to travel and transport participants safely
Highly Regarded
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Previous experience in mental health, psychosocial support, or disability support
* Lived experience with mental health
* Mental health training, e.g. Cert IV in mental health or other relevant qualifications

* Calm and professional in high-pressure situations
* Reliable, motivated, and capable of working independently

Pay and Employment Type
* Casual employment
* $31–$40 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
(Discussed during interview)
