Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced R&D Engineering Manager to provide strategic and technical leadership across our engineering and R&D project portfolio. You will guide multidisciplinary teams from concept through prototyping, validation, and commercialization to successful implementation. This role places a strong emphasis on safety, quality, financial performance, and operational excellence, helping us maintain a reputation as an industry‐leading innovator.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the Engineering Projects & Innovation team, aligning work with strategic goals and driving high performance, governance, and accountability.
* Own end‐to‐end delivery of R&D and engineering projects from concept to commercialization, ensuring technical integrity, on‐time delivery, and budget control.
* Standardise project management and engineering practices; coordinate design, testing, validation, and cross‐functional inputs to meet performance, safety, and quality targets.
* Foster innovation and technology commercialization by developing emerging technologies, collaborating with partners, overseeing prototypes/trials, and supporting IP protection.
* Manage risk, budgets, schedules, and compliance (IMS, QSE), driving continuous improvement in processes and documentation while prioritizing safety and environmental responsibility.
Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, with a strong emphasis on machine development and machine design.
* Proven experience in engineering project management, product development, or R&D within manufacturing or industrial environments.
* Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams through complex project lifecycles.
* Strong governance, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting capabilities.
* Excellent analytical, problem‐solving, and risk management skills.
* Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
* Proficiency with project management software and engineering documentation systems.
* Experience with digital engineering platforms or innovation management systems.
* Additional requirements: hands‐on experience in machine development and machine design is essential.
