An exciting opportunity has arisen at Club Mandalay, a premier resort-style golf and leisure facility, for an experienced and dynamic Hospitality Manager to lead our hospitality team for a 12-month maternity leave contract.
Club Mandalay offers a diverse range of hospitality experiences including a Bar, Café, Restaurant, Urban Grocer, Event Spaces, and outdoor event capabilities.
These facilities serve both the Mandalay Estate community and the wider local area, complementing our nationally ranked Top 70 golf course that caters to members, visitors, and corporate groups.
About the Role
We're seeking a confident, self-motivated, and innovative leader with a passion for exceptional customer service and a keen eye for detail.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining operational momentum, managing all front-of-house activities, and delivering outstanding social and corporate events.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role requires a hands-on approach in a fast-paced, high-energy setting.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily hospitality operations including POS, beverage ordering, and stock control
Lead staff training, rostering, and HR management
Ensure exceptional service standards for members and guests
Maintain high presentation standards across all hospitality areas
Manage cash handling and stock control procedures
Open and close the Club as required
Resolve member and guest concerns professionally and promptly
Ideal Candidate
Proven experience in a similar hospitality leadership role (experience in a members' club highly regarded)
Strong knowledge of POS and reservations systems
Flexible availability across a 7-day roster (primarily Wednesday–Sunday), including evenings and public holidays
Current RSA Certificate
Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
Professional, proactive, and team-oriented approach
