Location - NSW Australian Citizens with minimum Baseline Clearance Length of Contract: 12 months The role closes on: 25/07/2026 Background: The National Charting Directorate (NCD) of the Australian Hydrographic Office (AHO) is responsible for the production and updating of nautical charts to allow for safe navigation in Australian Waters. It provides the capability required to enable all relevant electronic and paper nautical charts to be updated for new hydrographic surveys and incoming maritime safety information in accordance with Australian's obligations, as legislated under the Navigation Act. NCD consists of: Marine Information Services (information management and assessment); and Chart Production and Maintenance (production of new charts to meet emerging requirements and updating of existing charts in response to new information), and Chart Quality Assurance and Standards (quality assurance against both source information and product specifications prior to publication).
