We are seeking a skilled and experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in cybersecurity, specifically with the Australian Essential 8 mitigation strategies. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing, implementing, and optimizing our client's cybersecurity measures to ensure robust protection against cyber threats to comply with Australian and Western Australian government standards. Conditions 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week on a quarter daily rate increment arrangement Perth western suburb locations (WFH must be requested as per client's requirements) On-Site and remote work as required by our client. Key Responsibilities: Analyze and Assess: Conduct thorough analysis of current cybersecurity measures and identify areas for improvement in alignment with the Essential 8 framework. Implementation: Lead the implementation from a Business Analysis perspective of Essential 8 mitigation strategies, including: Patch Applications: Ensure timely patching of applications to mitigate vulnerabilities. Patch Operating Systems: Oversee the regular patching of operating systems to maintain security. Multi-Factor Authentication: Enforce multi-factor authentication to enhance access security. Restrict Administrative Privileges: Limit administrative privileges to reduce the risk of security breaches. Application Control: Develop and maintain application control policies to prevent unauthorized software execution. Restrict Microsoft Office Macros: Implement and manage restrictions on Microsoft Office macros to mitigate potential threats. User Application Hardening: Enhance security by hardening user applications and ensuring compliance with best practices. Regular Backups: Oversee the regular backup processes to ensure data integrity and availability in case of incidents. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with IT, security teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of cybersecurity measures. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and changes. Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions and awareness programs to educate employees on cybersecurity best practices and the importance of the Essential 8 strategies. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in cybersecurity, with specific experience in the Australian Essential 8 framework. Technical Skills: Proficiency in implementing and managing the Essential 8 mitigation strategies. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex cybersecurity issues. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
