Job Role: Mechanical Technician
We are seeking a skilled professional to perform mechanical assembly, maintenance and repairs in our Hot Strip Mill-Roll Shop department.
Main Responsibilities:
* Maintenance Tasks:
* Grind and maintain rollers used in the Hot Strip Mill to ensure quality and reliability.
* Assemble and install work rolls and skin pass mill work rolls.
* Perform regular inspections and testing of equipment.
Key Requirements:
* Mechanical trade qualifications with strong understanding of machinery principles.
* Experience in a maintenance function with ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Work Environment:
The successful candidate will be based at our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility.
