Staff Specialist in General Practice - HNE Menopause Hub
Join a team that puts excellence in patient‐centred menopause care first. The HNE Menopause Hub is looking for a dedicated General Practitioner with specialised knowledge in Menopause, Sexual and Reproductive Health and an interest in mental health to join our team as a Menopause Staff Specialist.
About us
The HNE Menopause Hub is located at Wallsend Health Campus and utilises hybrid care (face‐to‐face and virtual) to provide care across the Hunter New England, Mid‐North Coast and Northern NSW Local Health Districts. The Menopause Hub is a tertiary level service caring for individuals experiencing severe or complex menopause symptoms. Be supported in your work by a collaborative multidisciplinary team consisting of 2 other Menopause staff specialists (Gynaecology and Endocrinology), a Registered Nurse, Dietitian, Women's Health Physiotherapist, Clinical Psychologist, Administration Officer and Manager.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high quality, evidence‐based, patient‐centred care for individuals experiencing complex menopause symptoms through face‐to‐face and virtual clinics.
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including participation in case conferences and clinical handover.
* Contribute to education, supervision and support of multidisciplinary staff, students and trainees.
* Actively participate in clinical governance activities including quality improvement, risk management and implementation of best practice standards.
Essential requirements
* Eligible for registration with AHPRA as a General Practitioner and Fellowship or the RACGP.
* Applicants should have demonstrable extensive experience in complex menopause management and/or additional qualifications such as the Family Planning Reproductive and Sexual Health certificate.
