Company Description
RUREX is a one-of-a-kind, privately owned explosives testing, research and disposal facility based in regional NSW. Licensed by EPA and SafeWork NSW, we conduct UN/STANAG Test & Evaluation and support product development and specialist trials across explosives, explosive ordnance and dangerous goods.
We work with civil industry, Defence and universities, providing a controlled, compliant environment for complex, high-risk projects that demand technical rigour and sound judgement.
We are building a team of A-grade operators who want to work on meaningful, high-consequence projects and be part of something rare.
Role Description
We have full-time, site-based roster roles opening as we step into the next phase of growth. We are looking for a broad range of capable people across the following areas:
Project / Account Managers
We deliver complex technical projects and specialised blasting services. These roles require strong client engagement, ownership of delivery, coordination across teams and the ability to manage high-consequence work with clarity and discipline.
Advanced Shotfirers
Our work includes UN testing, specialised disposals and unique blasting projects rarely conducted elsewhere. While this specific experience is uncommon, we know there are skilled shotfirers and EO specialists with strong foundations in explosives safety, handling and field operations. We need that depth of experience to help grow the capability and mentor developing personnel.
Finance and Compliance Support
We are seeking financially skilled and compliance-focused people to join the team. These may be separate roles depending on experience and capability.
Finance
Support accounting software management, reporting, cost analysis and the development of forward-looking financial systems and processes as we scale.
Compliance
Support the continued development, implementation and maintenance of our HSET systems and broader compliance frameworks within a safety-critical operating environment.
Team Support Officers
This is our entry-level pathway into RUREX. The role supports project preparation and testing campaigns, stock control, equipment readiness, maintenance and general site tasks. It suits someone safety-focused and reliable — whether early in their career or experienced and looking for steady, structured work that keeps operations running properly.
