We are seeking a Carpenter to join our team at Kilted Carpentry pty ltd' in Bayside, Victoria. As a full-time Carpenter, you will be responsible for a range of construction and carpentry tasks, working closely with our team to deliver high-quality projects for our clients. This job role would suit someone from overseas who doesn't have a vehicle or tools yet.
What you'll be doing
Renovations – Bathroom renovations to full house renovations and extensions.
Framing – Floor, wall and roof.
Lock-up – Straightening of walls, building partitions, cavity sliding door etc.
Fix – Hanging doors, skirting, architraves, cutting out and fitting locks, fitting of sanitary items (towel rails, toilet roll holders etc).
Cladding – Cement sheet and timber cladding to walls and eaves.
Decking.
Interpreting plans, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
Selecting and preparing the appropriate materials, tools, and equipment for each job.
Ensuring that all work meets industry standards and safety regulations.
Collaborating with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers, to coordinate project tasks.
Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Providing excellent customer service and communication with clients.
What we're looking for
Valid and full driver's license and the ability to drive a manual van.
An ABN (Australian business number).
A white card (construction safety induction card).
Honest and reliable.
Formal qualifications in Carpentry, such as a Certificate III in Carpentry or overseas equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Carpenter in a residential setting.
Experience in either commercial or residential carpentry is sufficient for this role.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, as well as woodworking machinery.
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Commitment to workplace safety and a willingness to follow safety protocols.
Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.

What we offer
A manual work van will be supplied; you will be required to pay for the fuel and toll roads only.
All carpentry tools will be supplied – you just need to have your own hand tools.
