Our client is a multi‐disciplined company with a nationwide presence providing a wide variety of services to clients. They seek a competent and experienced Occupational Hygienist based in the Wakefield area. Applications from Bradford, Leeds, Dewsbury and surrounding areas will be considered.
Qualifications & Experience
* Strong educational background; holding a Diploma or Science Degree is beneficial.
* Qualified and experienced Occupational Hygienist – holding BIOH/IOA or equivalent qualifications.
* Qualification in general Health & Safety (e.g., NEBOSH Certificate) is advantageous.
* Good working knowledge of relevant disciplines.
* Well versed with Health & Safety procedures.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Competent with Microsoft Office package.
Role & Responsibilities
* Undertake a broad range of occupational hygiene projects such as workplace assessments – air monitoring, COSHH assessments, noise, fumes, dust and hand‐arm vibration surveys, local exhaust ventilation (LEV) examination and indoor air quality testing.
* Liaise with clients on a regular basis, building strong working relationships.
* Manage projects and contracts effectively and within specified timescales.
* Possess excellent technical and project management skills.
