About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of the City by responding to emergency after-hours calls.
* Respond to all after-hours emergency calls when requested by the Duty Officer, and undertake tasks such as repairing Council infrastructure, implementing traffic management, removing limbs from fallen trees, and clearing roads after vehicle accidents.
* Liaise with the Duty Officer team, employees, contractors, and the public to ensure satisfactory completion of work activities.
* Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with work activities in accordance with Work and Safety Legislation, Corporate Policies, and Procedures.
* Be available for continuous seven-day periods on a roster typically every 6-7 weeks.
* Closely inspect and audit traffic management at Civil Work job sites after hours.
