Overview
Veolia ANZ is seeking an experienced operations professional to join our Resource Recovery team. Reporting to the National Landfill O&M Director, you will assist with managing and overseeing the landfill gas activities across our Australian landfill assets.
The Resource Recovery line of business manages the following landfill operations across Australia:
* 8 operational landfills owned and operated by Veolia
* 4 operational landfills operated by Veolia for our valued clients
* 7 closed landfills owned by Veolia (under post-closure management)
You will collaborate closely with Site Operations, Technical & Innovation, Finance, and Environment teams to ensure landfill gas operations are optimised across our assets, and emissions reduction targets are achieved as well as administer landfill gas O&M contracts across sites.
Location - Ideally located on the East Coast (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Newcastle or Canberra)

What you'll be responsible for
* Administer and manage landfill gas operations and maintenance contracts across all sites, including contractor performance monitoring and KPI tracking
* Review and track financial performance against P&L and cashflow budgets, ensuring contractor billing aligns with service agreements
* Develop and maintain comprehensive CAPEX project delivery plans, expenditure forecasting, and whole-of-life landfill gas infrastructure programs
* Drive operational excellence through implementation and analysis of key performance indicators and corrective action plans
* Collaborate with Technical and Environment teams to track ERF project credits, manage Safeguard Mechanism liabilities, and develop profitability strategies
* Act as key liaison between landfill operational teams, technical teams, and O&M contractors to optimize both landfill operations and biogas capture
* Coordinate cross-functional teams (operations, finance, technical, environment, safety) and prepare reporting materials for landfill gas activities
* Foster relationships with external stakeholders including regulatory bodies, contractors, and suppliers while implementing company policies and procedures
What you'll need to be successful
* Degree qualified in relevant tertiary fields, such as Engineering, Project/Construction Management, Environmental Science/Management, Business or similar
* Contract/project/commercial management experience
* Operational experience in either a landfill or gas related field is preferred
* Experience with Clean Energy Regulator & Emissions Reduction Fund is highly desirable
* Strong interpersonal skills, fosters a collaborative team environment
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Strong focus on health, safety, environment and quality
