The Grande Escape Resort, Margaret River is eagerly seeking an exceptional Restaurant Manager and Receptionist. If you have experience in both of these areas this job is for you.
Our Restaurant Manager needs to be a hardworking, enthusiastic, and ambitious individual who leads from the front to take charge of our restaurant and bar service. You will oversee restaurant operations, build a customer-focused team, and implement leading customer service standards. This key role aims to make us a benchmark-setting venue. Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily restaurant and bar operations to deliver exceptional service
- Manage day-to-day financials, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Foster guest engagement and problem solving
- Exceed customers\' expectations by providing an outstanding dining experience and active participation while on duty
- Ensure all food served is of an excellent standard
- Coach, train and mentor staff to improve service standards and motivate growth
- Develop relationships with new and regular restaurant patrons
- Coordinate daily/weekly updates with reservations, functions and bus tour teams
- Manage bookings and balance seat capacity
- Prepare the rostering for the restaurant
- Cost control with a focus on labour
- Manage customer feedback and reputation
- Monitor and manage stock levels for the bar and restaurant to ensure inventory control
- Collaborate with the kitchen to deliver creative menus and event styling
- Coordinate employee schedules to ensure efficient staffing
- Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain HACCP and cleaning standards
- Participate in management meetings and report to the Manager
- The successful applicant must have 2/3 years\' experience in a similar role and hold an RSA, Approved Manager\'s Certificate WA
- Be a strong food and beverage expert with knowledge of RMS or similar platforms (or willingness to learn) to check after-hours reservations
- Lead with strong leadership and people skills
- Think creatively and manage time effectively
- Maintain excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Understand current liquor legislation
- Lead with a hands-on approach and a natural ability to guide a team
- Commit to long-term involvement
Qualifications
- Experienced Receptionist with at least 1 to 2 years in a hotel setting; strong administrative experience with functions, groups, data entry, and office duties is beneficial
- Solid food and beverage knowledge
- Experience with RMS or similar property management system
- Professional manner and high standards
- Ability to manage a large volume of calls and emails with professional etiquette
- Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship-building
- Passion for guest experience and exceptional service
- Efficiently manage guest complaints
- Provide guests with information about hotel facilities, services and local attractions
- Ensure smooth check-in/check-out procedures
- Maintain accurate daily cash reports and reconcile accounts
- Strong written and spoken communication
- Multitasking ability without compromising quality
- Willingness to assist the food and beverage team and learn additional software if required
- Valid working rights in Australia and Australian National Police Clearance (no more than 3 months old)

Both positions are casual unless you have the skills in both areas, which may lead to full-time hours.
