Home Care Assistant Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Care Assistant to join our team. As a Home Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities:
* General housekeeping and making beds
* Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors
* Washing, folding and ironing laundry
* Meal preparation and grocery shopping
* Providing personal care services such as getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day, assisting with medications, assisting with mobility and therapy goals, providing complex care for customers with high care needs, and providing social and emotional support
Requirements:
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to provide physical assistance with daily living activities
* Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
* Experience working with older adults or individuals with disabilities preferred
