We are looking for a full-time, permanent Finance Manager. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the Finance Manager is a key member of the Finance team. This is a hands‐on role requires someone who is ready to pull up their sleeves and dive into the details.
What will you be doing in this role?
The Finance team is responsible for managing all accounting and financial matters for TurksLegal and its service company, Fobasa.
The function delivers end-to-end finance operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, trust accounting, payroll, and financial reporting.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Finance Manager works collaboratively with the Finance team to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial outcomes, while supporting the broader business with sound financial management and insights.
Responsibilities
You will take responsibility and ownership over a range of tasks, including but not limited to:
* Lead and oversee the Accounting, Trust, Accounts Payable, and Payroll, with a focus on leadership, capability development, and effective workload management.
* Own month‐end close and management reporting.
* Ensure robust financial governance and compliance, maintaining high standards across statutory taxation, regulatory and trust accounting obligations, and managing audits and external stakeholders.
* Manage cash flow, banking and financial systems, providing clear forecasting, daily liquidity reporting and oversight of payment platforms, and controls.
* Drive strategic insight and continuous improvement, supporting budgeting and forecasting, delivering partner‐level analysis and leading process improvements across finance operations.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will have:
* Proven experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance role, ideally within professional services or a legal environment.
* CA or CPA qualified, with strong technical expertise in accounting, financial reporting and taxation.
* Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and develop transactional finance teams in a fast‐paced environment.
* Resilient and highly organised, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and change.
* Strong communicator with process‐improvement mindset and experience using modern finance systems and reporting or automation tools.
In addition, you will:
* Experience with Aderant Practice Management Software
* Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as SQL and BigHand
