We're looking for a detail-driven and customer-focused Payroll Officer to join our Corporate Services team and play a key role in ensuring our employees are paid accurately, on time, and with care.
About the role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for delivering efficient and compliant payroll services across the organisation. This role goes beyond processing it's about supporting continuous improvement, enhancing systems, and contributing to a positive workplace culture.
Key responsibilities
* Process end-to-end fortnightly payroll accurately and on time
* Maintain employee payroll and rostering records across the employee lifecycle
* Ensure integrity of timesheet and rostering data
* Manage salary variations, allowances, and payroll adjustments
* Provide timely, accurate advice to employees and managers
* Support compliance with payroll legislation (tax, superannuation, FBT)
* Assist with audits, reporting, and regulatory requirements
* Contribute to system improvements, particularly within PayGlobal
* Partner with People & Culture to ensure compliance with EBAs and policies
What you'll bring
* Proven experience in payroll processing and rostering
* Strong understanding of payroll legislation (tax, super, compliance)
* Experience with PayGlobal (highly regarded)
* High attention to detail and strong numerical skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
* A customer-first mindset and collaborative approach
