Female Support Worker – Matraville NSW Flexible Day / Afternoon / Night (Sleepover) Shifts | SCHADS Level 2.1 Work With a Warm, Welcoming Family Ongoing Support From Connecting Families Location: Matraville, NSW 2036 Shifts Available: Day, Afternoon, Night (Sleepover) ⏰ Shift Patterns: • 6:30 AM – 9:30 AM • 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM • Occasional longer daytime shifts beginning at 6:30 AM About the Role We are a warm, supportive family seeking an experienced Female Support Worker to assist with the care of our 6-year-old autistic/ADHD child and our 3-year-old, as well as provide daily routine support and light domestic assistance. You will also be engaged through Connecting Families to support the achievement of structured routines, independence, and positive behaviour strategies. This role is rewarding, active, and perfect for someone who is playful, patient, and thrives in dynamic family environments. Family Support Responsibilities ✔ Assist with morning & evening routines – dressing, nappy changes, meals, bathing, story time & play ✔ Implement behaviour and emotional regulation strategies ✔ Support interactions between children and step in quickly during conflicts or escalations ✔ Provide close supervision at all times ✔ Light domestic tasks – laundry, simple meal prep, dishes, tidying toys, vacuuming, lunchbox prep Behavioural & Disability Support Responsibilities The role may also include supporting a participant with: • Autism, ADHD & Anxiety • ARFID (Food refusal) • Non-compliant behaviours / running or absconding risk • Physical aggression (occasional) • Sleep routine challenges • Medication prompts • Building structure, routine & independence • Encouraging hydration, meals, and positive habits You will play a vital role in supporting safety, regulation, calmness, and everyday life skills.
