Job Description
We are seeking a Child Mental Health Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to children and families facing various challenges.
About The Role
The focus of this role is to provide support for students with mild to moderate mental health concerns. You will use evidence-based intervention strategies to support young people experiencing challenges with mental health, social and emotional wellbeing, and academic performance.
* Provide therapeutic counselling and support through individual or group sessions to address mild to moderate mental health concerns.
* Facilitate referrals to other allied health professionals and services and assist students and families to access this support.
Key Responsibilities
You will participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team within an educational setting, providing support to school, community and inter agency networks relevant to the position. Your responsibilities will include:
* Conducting thorough assessments of student needs and developing personalized care plans.
* Providing evidence-based interventions and therapies to support students' mental health and wellbeing.
* Maintaining accurate records of student progress and communicating effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.
