Position Summary
Provide an extremely high level of professional service and customer focus to all corporate event clients; maximize hotel revenue and profitability by supplying strong sales strategies that ensure maximum conversions and ongoing support to the Event Sales & Planning department.
Role
* Drive sales by preparing accurate and timely proposals and contracts covering venues, menus, and accommodation.
* Follow Capella Events Standards when assisting the department to prepare proposals and contracts, providing administrative support and creating internal Event Confirmations.
* Diligently liaise with clients to understand their needs and objectives.
* Develop and implement appropriate strategies to drive new business into Capella Sydney and The Lands by Capella.
* Liaise with chefs, suppliers, and venue teams to ensure all elements of each event align.
* Develop and manage event timelines, floor plans, and catering logistics.
* Provide administrative support to the team as required.
* Collaborate with team members to maintain strong client relationships and develop sales initiatives.
Talent Profile
* Hospitality or Sales/Marketing tertiary qualifications are preferred.
* Minimum of 2 years previous event sales or coordination experience in luxury hotels, resorts, or the hospitality sector.
* Knowledge of hotel property and catering management systems (OPERA & Delphi).
* Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Valid working rights in Australia.
