Equinox Engineering is actively recruiting a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Brisbane team to deliver conventional oil & gas and carbon capture pipeline projects. The role will be accountable for regular face-to-face liaison with our clients, and to provide leadership for the successful execution of capital projects.
About the job:Brisbane office is seeking a Lead level Senior Civil/Structural engineer position, 12+ years of experience in structural and foundation design, analysis, and resolution of problems. Provide direction and coordination of civil structural design in Oil & Gas, Pipeline, Carbon Capture and Gas Plant industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide site civil, structural and foundation design of small to mid-size engineering projects and provide close supervision to Junior engineers.
* Prepare accurate and complete design calculations as required to meet project requirements.
* Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure effective quality project deliverables.
* Ensure that effective methods and design/engineering techniques are used.
* Contribute to a team environment by accomplishing related results in a cooperative and supportive manner.
* Perform Lead Engineering responsibilities to estimate the engineering manhours and associated resources as per project schedules.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering – Civil and structural engineering from Accredited Program, higher advanced degrees preferred.
* Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ)
* Working knowledge of RISA 3D, Spacegass.
* Navisworks viewer or other 3D Model viewers
* Familiar with commonly used civil/structural engineering standards and codes including but not limited to AS/NZS, codes such as AS1170, AS4100, AS3600, AS1657 as well as commonly used civil/structural engineering software.
* Strong background in pile, concrete foundation and steel design is required.
