As a result, we are now looking for capable, motivated and values-driven support workers who will play key roles in embedding us as a trusted, reputable provider of services in the Sunshine State. **About the Roles**
The role of the Community Support Worker is to work with clients within the NDIS funding framework, assisting them to achieve their goals and increase their independence and participation within the community. You will provide support to people with disability and/or psychosocial needs, enabling them to undertake all aspects of daily living. You will also promote and demonstrate positive behaviours, learning experiences and skill development for your clients.
**Key duties include**:
- Taking clients out for social outings and activities, shopping trips or GP/specialist appointments.
- Servicing clients at their respective homes with activities of daily living such as toileting, showering and dressing.
- Light domestic duties and meal preparation/eating assistance.
- Medication administration duties.
- Liaising with the families and representatives of your client as required.
**Skills & Experience**
As well as the above skills, the **Key Requirements** include:
- Clearance to work within the NDIS (blue card, yellow card, NDIS worker check) or willingness to obtain this.
- Proof of working rights - Passport or visa.
- Valid QLD driver's licence and a reliable vehicle.
- Previous experience as a support worker in the health/disability sector and/or a relevant Cert III/IV qualification is highly desirable but not essential.
