The role
Working part time and reporting to the Chief Accountant – Oceania, you will take responsibility for supporting the Chief Accountant and the wider finance team with such tasks as preparing financial statements, accounts, budgets and assisting with the finalisation of month-end and year-end accounts. Broader duties include:
* Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including journal processing, fixed asset coordination, balance sheet review, and submission of monthly results
* Support audit processes, respond to auditor queries, and complete required filings with ASIC, Companies Office, and statistical agencies
* Processing SAP transactions and preparation of VAT return
* Ensure on time filing of all tax returns; income tax, payroll tax, GST, FBT etc
* Liaise with tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax compliance
The person
Working part time, you will pride yourself on being organised with exceptional time management skills. Having solid accounting experience within a small to medium sized business with international exposure, will ensure the successful execution of all monthly reporting requirements. SAP knowledge will be highly regarded. Being able to work across all areas of assistant accounting will see you succeed with ease in this position and have the ultimate work-life balance.
