The opportunity As the Microsoft 365 and Exchange Specialist, you’ll be the subject‑matter expert for the ACT Government’s Exchange and Microsoft 365 environment. You’ll provide technical leadership across both project and Business as usual work, championing adoption of new and existing cloud services to meet whole‑of‑government needs. You’ll handle complex incidents and provide high‑level platform support, including online maintenance, fault diagnosis, remedial actions, monitoring, and reporting. What you’ll do Lead and advise through governance forums, including the Technical Advisory Committee, evaluating and presenting conceptual designs. Support Microsoft Exchange 2016 in a hybrid architecture, and own enterprise mail routing/EOP. Provide advanced M365 platform support (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint) and maintain related infrastructure. Administer and secure Active Directory and Azure Active Directory (including App Registrations). Engineer with PowerShell across Exchange/Windows, and document solutions to ACT Government standards. Plan and execute migrations (on‑prem to Exchange Online), including use of native and third‑party tools (e.g., BitTitan MigrationWiz/DeploymentPro). Collaborate with stakeholders and deliver services that meet or exceed expectations—without direct line supervision. About you You bring deep, hands‑on expertise across: Exchange Online/EOP; Exchange 2016; Microsoft 365 (Teams, OneDrive); Active Directory; Azure AD. Mail routing/SMTP gateways; Windows Server 2012; email encryption and security (TLS, SPF, DKIM, DMARC). Strong PowerShell scripting (Exchange/Windows) and experience running complex hybrid Exchange environments and migrations.
